RavenousMC

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 2026-01-01

This policy lists what you can't do with RavenousMC services. Violations may result in suspension or termination without notice. When in doubt, ask us before you do it.

Illegal content or activity

  • Hosting content that's illegal in the United States or your jurisdiction (including CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, content promoting violence against people or groups, material infringing copyrights or trademarks).
  • Hosting servers used to facilitate crime (carding, ransomware C2, illegal marketplaces).
  • Distributing malware or cracked / pirated software.

Network abuse

  • Outbound denial-of-service attacks, scanning, or port abuse.
  • Spam (email, in-game chat farms, or otherwise).
  • Crypto-mining (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, etc.) — this isn't an ethics statement, it's a resource-accounting one. Mining workloads spike CPU constantly and degrade other customers' experience.
  • Reverse-proxying arbitrary internet traffic through your server.

Server abuse

  • Hosting offline-mode (cracked) Minecraft servers that allow players to impersonate Mojang accounts. The settings wizard makes online-mode the default for a reason — turning it off without an external auth plugin invites griefing of legitimate Mojang users.
  • Running modified server jars that bypass anti-cheat or anti-grief plugins in a way that affects other servers on the platform.
  • Hosting modpacks with intentionally malicious code.

Platform abuse

  • Trying to access other customers' data or servers.
  • Attempting to escape the container sandbox or gain root on the host.
  • Sharing your account with someone you don't trust to follow these rules.
  • Reselling RavenousMC service as your own (white-label) without prior written agreement.

Resource use

  • Your plan's RAM/CPU/disk numbers are hard limits. Sustained 100% CPU for hours is fine if it's actually your gameplay (chunk gen, large redstone). Sustained 100% CPU from intentional load generation (stress testing other services, mining) is not.
  • Backups are sized into your plan. Storage beyond the free 3-backup allotment is metered at $0.05/GB-month.

Reporting violations

If you believe another customer is violating this policy, email [email protected] with as much detail as possible.

Enforcement

For minor or first-time violations we'll typically reach out and ask you to stop. For serious violations (illegal content, network attacks, mass abuse) we'll suspend or terminate immediately. We may share information with law enforcement if required by valid legal process.
